Olympic site visit

The media team went to see the Olympic site on Monday 23 May 2011. We went on the bus tour around the site and we had a talk. The

guide told us a lot about the Olympics as we drove around the Olympic site.

It was very big to see. It was 2.5 sq km – the same area as 357 football pitches. We saw the Aquatics Centre where people will be swimming in the Games. We looked at the place where they are going to have the water polo arena.

The site is accessible to disabled people and for the Paralympics they are going to adapt the site for disabled athletes.

On the bus tour the guide talked about the health and safety and the security at the Olympic Games in 2012. We saw that there were still builders working on the site.

We enjoyed going to the Olympic site it was very good there. I enjoyed going on the bus tour with all the people from the media team.
